Privacy Policy

Hop works inside your email, your calendar, your messages and your accounts, so you deserve a plain account of what that means. This is that account, without the padding.
Who we are
Hop is built and run by Hopping Lab Technologies Pvt Ltd. Where this policy says "we" or "Hop", that is who it means.
This policy covers both the website you are reading and the Hop product itself.
Why Hop needs access to anything
Hop is a proactive assistant and a set of AI agents that do work inside the tools your team already runs on. It cannot keep track of what is moving, or get anything done, without being able to see the work and act on it.
So this policy is mostly about one thing: what Hop can reach, and what happens to what it finds there.
Hop is in early access. The product is still changing, and this policy will change with it.
You choose what Hop can reach
You connect each tool yourself, through that tool's own permission screen. We ask for the narrowest access that lets an agent do its job, and nothing speculative.
You can disconnect any tool at any time, from inside Hop or from the tool itself. Hop loses that access the moment you do.
What we collect
- Account information. Your name, your work email, your company, and who else is on your team.
- Content from the tools you connect. Messages, calendar entries, files, spreadsheet rows, advertising figures and the like, limited to what an agent needs for the job it is running.
- What you tell Hop. Your instructions, the agents you build, and anything you ask Hop to remember for later.
- Operational records. What ran, when, whether it worked, and what broke when it did not.
- Website visits. If you join the waitlist we store the email address you type in.
What we do with it
Four things: run the service, carry out the work you asked for, help you when you get stuck, and make the product better.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.
We do not train AI models on the content of your work, and the providers we use are contractually barred from doing so either.
AI model providers
Hop runs on AI models licensed from other companies. To carry out a job, Hop sends the provider the content needed for that job and no more.
Those providers process it to return a result and are not permitted to keep it or train on it.
We will tell you who they are if you ask.
Everyone else who touches it
We use a small number of companies to run the service. Each one only gets what it needs to do its part.
- Supabase, for database and authentication.
- Resend, for transactional email.
- Vercel, for website and application hosting.
How long we keep it
Account information and the content of your workspace: for as long as your account is open.
Operational logs: indefinitely, for now.
When you ask us to delete your data, or you close your account, we delete it within 30 days. The exception is the small amount we are required by law to keep, such as invoices for tax purposes.
How it is protected
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. The tokens that let Hop reach your connected tools are encrypted separately.
Access inside our team is granted on need and removed when the need ends.
No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens to yours.
What you can ask us for
A copy of what we hold on you. A correction. Deletion. Withdrawal of a consent you gave us earlier.
Write to danvir@tryhop.co or mani@tryhop.co and we will come back to you within 30 days.
Children
Hop is a tool for work and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data, and we delete it if we find we have.
Changes to this policy
The date at the top tells you when this last changed.
